According to the Masala Bazaar website, this curry house wants to “ditch the stereotypes” and bring the diner an entirely new culinary experience.

There truly is something for everyone on the menu, from prawn curries to succulent lamb biryanis

At the time of writing, they have a special offer on takeaways when you get 15 per cent off collected orders and a free bottle of house wine on orders over £40.

One reviewer said: “[They are] a stylish Indian restaurant to visit anytime, but Masala Bazaar for takeaway and delivery is also exceptional.”

Another added: “Last night we got a sizeable takeaway order from there and they couldn't be nicer.

“Great food and service- they also insisting on taking a complimentary beverage with us.”

In the mood for Chinese? According to TripAdvisor, this is the best rated one in Carlisle that is currently open for business.

House special seafood curry and crispy king prawns in Peking sauce are just some of the delicious-looking items on the menu.

If you just can’t choose, they also have a choice of three set menus to choose from.

One happy customer said: “We have a take away from here almost once every week. Cannot fault the food at all it is always freshly cooked, hot and delicious!”

Another wrote: “Just had the most lovely meal from Eastern Cuisine- It was fresh and very tasty- the chilli prawns were amazing!”

If so, then a takeaway from Bluerare could be the ideal option.

Some of their best selling items include the beef roast and the homemade steak and ale pie.

Make sure to leave room for pudding, as chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding are also some of the best selling items available.

One reviewer was disappointed with the delivery time- but added that it was worth it for the delicious food.

They said: “This should have been a five star review but the delivery time cost a star.

“Having said that, what we received did not disappoint (despite my having visions of it being cold).

“We went for 3 courses, the starter of garlic mushrooms was huge and really tasty, the main course we went for pulled beef roast and a chicken roast, the portions were great and the food was hot and delicious, dessert was really tasty too.”

They have a relatively small menu, ideal for people who are overwhelmed by choice, and they also have vegetarian-friendly options.

The beef tacos seem to be a popular choice for reviewers.

One happy customer said: “My wife went on about how good the food is from this place but I've never tried until a delivery last Friday.

“I went online and booked a delivery slot and it all arrived right on time.

“The beef tacos were absolutely amazing... with just the right spiciness for me. As close to the tacos I ate in Mexico.”

Tikka Masala and Jalfrezi are some of their best selling dishes- while these might not sound adventurous, reviewers say they are cooked very well.

One happy customer said: “I haven’t had a sit down meal there but picked up a Indian take away, could not fault it at all. Would certainly recommend people to try this place.”

Another commented: “We have had several takeaways from Mumbai Spice and cannot fault it. Excellent selection of meals, good quality and very tasty and all fantastic value for money.”
