HUNDREDS of homes and businesses were left without electricity following a power cut.
The problem was caused by a fault in an overhead line.
Properties in the CW10 postcode area were plunged into darkness shortly after 8am this morning.
The power supply has now been restored.
A spokesman for SP Energy Networks said: “A total of 433 customers in the CW10 postcode area of Middlewich were without power for around 90 minutes this morning following an issue with a nearby overhead line.
