A DRIVER who died in a crash in Middlewich 'touched the lives of many people', say his family.

Kieran Bailey, 26, was driving a black BMW which was involved in a collision with a white Nissan van in King Street shortly after 6am on Sunday, January 24.

Sadly, Kieran, who lived in Middlewich, but came from Crewe, died at the scene.

Kieran was the store manager at the Aldi branch in Stockton Heath, Warrington.

In a tribute, his family said: “Kieran was a popular young man and touched the lives of so many.

“He will be sadly missed by his partner Jack, mum Melanie, dad Tim his brother Colby, their families and his many friends, and work colleagues.”

His family are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the Nissan van, a man, was taken to hospital for checks. He has since been discharged.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have captured dashcam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward.
