MUSIC fans missing live gigs are being treated to a concert in their own home.

Local musicians have teamed up to perform a special charity show.

Rock The Lockdown raised £500 for Middlewich Foodbank last March.

Middlewich Labour is organising another similar event on Saturday, January 30 in aid of Middlewich Round Table.

Photo Booth Smile will headline supported by Gareth Heesom, Christie Bratherton, Kieran Davies and Frank Quilty.

So many local musicians offered to sing, another gig is already in the pipeline.

Cllr Jonathan Parry said: "I love my music and had quite a lot of tickets for concerts last year which were postponed. This is the next best thing.

"We want to showcase local artists and give them a platform. We had more artists than we could use for this gig so we hope to run another one in February if this one goes well.

"Middlewich Round Table has not been able to fundraise because of all the restrictions. They help a lot of smaller groups around the town."

Organisers worked in partnership with The Kings Lock Pub where many of the musicians have played live.

Jaz and Craig Hatton from Photo Booth Smile headlined the first gig. Jaz plays guitar and sings and Craig plays drums.

Country music style artist Gareth Heesom attracts a big following and his gigs are always packed out.

Christie Bratherton writes and sings her own songs as well as playing the guitar.

Kieran Davies writes his own music, plays guitar and sings a few covers.

Local legend Frank Quilty will play his distinctive guitar and vocals to popular songs and tunes.

"Each act will record from their own home and the video will stream at 7pm on the Rock The Lockdown Facebook page," daid Cllr Parry. "You don't have to donate to watch. We know a lot of people are struggling at the moment. You can just enjoy it. But if you can spare some money, it will be massively appreciated."

Jack Roberts, fundraising officer at Middlewich Round Table, said: "We would like to say a big thank you to all the local artistes.

"We have not been able to do any events since last March. Our two biggest fundraisers our beer and cider festival both had to be cancelled.

"We get fundraising requests from many local organisations including football clubs and charities but also from families who need some support.

"This is really important with everything that is going on at the moment."
