A MAN accused of grievous bodily harm and spitting at an alleged victim will appear at Liverpool Crown Court later this month.

Callum Shields, of Thomas Drive, Prescot appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court.

Shields, 27, has been charged with five offences.

He is accused of an assault on a woman at Tesco Extra car park in Prescot on Christmas Eve in which he is alleged to have spat at her and hit her in the face.

He is also accused of criminal damage on the wing mirrors of a vehicle belonging to the woman.

Shields is accused of intending to wound the woman with intent to do grievous bodily harm five days later on December 29 at a property in Kirkby on December 29.

The 27-year-old is also accused of attempting to wound a man with intent to do grievous bodily harm at the property.

Shields has also been charged with possession of a bladed article, a black handled, long bladed knife.

The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court where Shields will next appear on January 27.

He has been remanded into custody until then.
