FIREFIGHTERS were sent out to a Bucklow Hill property late on Wednesday night to check on a possible gas leak.

Two fire engines from Lymm and Greater Manchester attended the scene, in Chester Road, at 11.15pm on January 6.

On arrival, the crews found there was a strong smell of propane gas outside the property.

Firefighters isolated the gas cylinder and set up a hose reel jet as a precautionary measure.

They also used a monitor to check for any signs of gas within the building.

Two people were checked at the scene by paramedics as a precaution.
