TRIBUTES have been made to a 26-year-old man who died following a crash close to a major junction near Alderley Park.

Aiden Robinson, from Wythenshawe, died at the scene following a collision in Congleton Road at 2.05am last Thursday, November 19.

He was a regular at the Cornishman Pub, in Wythenshawe, which has paid tribute to him on Facebook.

A post on the site said: “All of us at The Cornishman are feeling totally heartbroken today at the very sad news that we heard this morning.

“A beautiful young man lost his life far too soon and we would like to express our sincere condolences to his family and friends , he was such a lovely young man with his life ahead of him.

"Shine bright Aiden RIP.”

Other pubgoers commented to pay their respects.

One said: "Such a lovely lad who always had a big smile on his face sleep tight Aiden."

Another said: "Sleep tight my friend we all love you."

Another added: "So sad and so young RIP young man."

Cheshire Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the fatal collision, which took place just to the south of the Monks Heath crossroads.

They attended the scene, where there had been a single vehicle collision involving a black Audi, which was being driven by Aiden.

Two women, aged 42 and 17, and a 25-year old man were also taken to hospital.

All three of the casualties are from the Manchester area, Cheshire Police said, and two of them are believed to be have suffered serious injuries from the crash.

Cheshire Police is investigating the collision and appealing for help from the public.
