LEIGHTON Hospital’s NHS trust has reported two more deaths from coronavirus today, November 25.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals says one of the patients died yesterday, November 24, while one died on Sunday, November 22.
The trust also reported three deaths from Covid-19 yesterday, and today’s update means there have been 13 deaths reported by Mid Cheshire Hospitals in the past week, up from 10 one week ago.
It takes the total number of coronavirus patients cared for by Mid Cheshire Hospitals who have sadly died to 255 since the pandemic began.
The Countess of Chester has also announced two more deaths from Covid-19 today, with both having taken place yesterday, taking the total number of coronavirus patients to have died at the Countess to 272 since the pandemic began.
Deaths from coronavirus as the two hospitals have risen sharply in the past month, having seen very few before then since July.
Today, NHS England announced 353 more patients had died from Covid-19 at its hospitals, including 84 in the north west.
Of the total number, 329 were aged 60 or above, and five were younger than 40.
Their families have been informed.
