ONE of the North West's leading wedding caterers has adapted its business to deliver fine dining right to your door.

Olive Tree Catering has launched a new food delivery app - Shared Olive at Your Place - to bring award winning dishes to doorsteps across Cheshire, in a response to the crippling effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

With over 20 employees and unable to operate for over six months, the struggling catering business is tackling the new challenges brought on by the Coronavirus by offering restaurant quality takeaways from its Mediterranean inspired menu - in the hope of keeping its business going and employees working.

Joint Chef Director at Olive Tree Catering and Northwich resident, John Trelfa said: "Like many businesses, we have been hit hard by the pandemic.

"Normally at this time of year we would be catering for four to five weddings a week but since March, we’ve only had three.

"Our team at Olive Tree is more like a family and the prospect of losing that family to closure or redundancies wasn’t an option for us.

"After virtual discussions with the team, we decided to adapt to the challenges and launch the Shared Olive at Your Place food takeaway app in the hopes of keeping our team together, as well as providing, delicious food made with local ingredients, to customers across Cheshire.

Some of the dishes on the Mediterranean inspired menu include, Hummus with Ciabatta, Homemade Rosemary Focaccia, Meat, Fish and Vegetarian paellas, as well as some classic small plates such as Honey Glazed Mini Chorizo, Meatballs and Patatas Bravas.

John added: "We’re excited for the future, we know we have got to work hard to keep bring new and exciting dishes to the app but we have an excellent and highly skilled team behind us willing to go the extra mile.

"When we’re not cooking or creating new dishes for the app, you’ll find us delivering food to your door."

The delivery service is open six days a week for free home delivery on all orders over £25 to following postcodes:

CW7, CW8, CW9, CW10, L19, L24, L31, L39, WA4, WA6, WA7, WA8, WA16, CH1, CH4, CH5, CH6, CH7.

Customers can also choose to click and collect from its catering kitchen based in Runcorn.
