ATHLETICS is the focus of this week's 'ThrowbackThursday' picture feature.
More to the point, cross country, and the young Vale Royal AC runners taking part.
A lack of information is available with this archived picture (above), the only details with it say that it is the start of an under 13s girls' race staged over 2,900m.
As the picture is taken at Knights Grange Sports Complex in Winsford on a frosty day and with a number of club vests on show, the likelihood is this picture is from the Cheshire Cross Country Championships.
Due to the storage system, we know the picture was taken between 2004 and 2009 - but Knights Grange staged the championships in the January of 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2009.
