A MAN who has been missing from home for two months has reportedly been spotted at a park in Culcheth.

Stuart Metcalfe was last seen in the Burnley area towards the end of August.

His family have not heard from him since and police are ‘increasingly concerned for his welfare’.

Now Lancashire Police say that the 47-year-old is believed to have been sighted inside a tent in Culcheth Linear Park over the weekend.

Officers are appealing for information from members of the public over Mr Metcalfe’s whereabouts.

He is described as being white, 5ft11, of medium build with brown hair and brown eyes and has links to Cheshire and West Yorkshire – while he may have travelled to the Cumbria area.

Police constable Ruth Syers said: “We, along with Stuart’s family, are concerned for his welfare.

“We would urge anybody who sees Stuart or has any information about his whereabouts to contact us straight away.

“I would also appeal directly to Stuart himself to make contact if he sees this appeal.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the force on 101, quoting incident number 1542 of October 14.
