KNUTSFORD Beer Festival organisers are offering a mouth-watering take on the traditional advent calendar to support The Toy Appeal.

The Beer Advent Calendar comes in a bespoke Knutsford Beer Festival-branded box, which contains 24 cans, which include beers from Tatton Brewery and Mobberley Brewhouse.

Beer festival organiser Rachel Bishop said: “Ever since the beer festival was cancelled in April I wanted to do something that would raise money for our charity, the Toy Appeal.

“I couldn’t bear the thought of letting down all the families they help at Christmas.

“It’s win-win really, because people buying the box can enjoy a whole month of great beers and feel good that they are doing their bit for charity.

“We can’t all get together at the beer festival this year, but we can enjoy some great beers together at home.

Knutsford Guardian:

“The beers chosen for the box offer something for everyone, and includes a few real special treats like a dark chocolate orange stout from White Hag.

“We are able to make a profit on the box thanks to some great buying power from Ben Selby and the generosity of our sponsors, APC Manchester and Mobberley Brewhouse.”

The Beer Advent Calendars are on sale now, for £80 including delivery, and are limited to 200. Visit knutsfordbeerfestival.org.uk

Members of the beer festival team are going to take it in turns to do beer tastings for each beer on Instagram, and the boxes will be delivered over the last weekend in November.
