WINSFORD United, the scorers of a club record 10 goals at the weekend, were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Warrington Rylands 1906.
Rob Hopley, who is on dual registration from Witton Albion, put the hosts ahead in the 36th minute to add to his hat-trick in the 10-2 success against Barnoldswick on Saturday.
Sam Sheen equalised for Warrington Rylands in the 63rd minute after a goalmouth scramble in the North West Counties League Premier Division.
Veteran striker Stuart Wellstead came off the bench 10 minutes into the second half and hit the post for the visitors, against one of his many former clubs, in the closing moments.
The point puts Winsford back on top of the table, unbeaten after three games.
Warrington Rylands leap above fourth-placed Irlam who were defeated 2-1 at Northwich Victoria.
