SPOOKY scarecrows have been creeping into Middlewich.

Children and grown ups are challenged to let their imaginations run wild in a fun-filled competition.

Josh Hicks, from Middlewich Round Table, said: "This new community event is designed to get everyone involved in a fun yet safe way. We've had 40 entries so far, with some fantastic ones coming in.

Northwich Guardian:

"It is entirely free to enter though we are asking people to make donations to their local school parent teacher associations who have not been able to raise funds at their usual summer fetes and events this year."
