A FAMILY run business is urging people to support local bars and restaurants in Middlewich to ensure they survive the pandemic.

The Kinderton has created Covid secure outdoor seating for more than 100 people in its spacious beer garden.

Like eateries throughout the town, staff are doing everything they can to encourage customers to enjoy meals with their families and friends.

Shaun Ellison, director of The Kinderton, said: "We have spent a lot of time, money and effort to make sure we have created the safest environment possible.

"It is a worrying time to try and keep all our guys in a job.

"We're all in this together, we need the people of Middlewich to come out and eat. Without your support we might not be here after the pandemic. That's the harsh reality."

Only single households or people living in a support bubble can book tables inside.

Heated booths give family and friends the chance to enjoy afternoon outside

However, private heated outdoor booths enable family and friends to enjoy food and drink outside on socially distanced tables, following the rule of 6.

"We are making sure everyone feels safe which is the most important thing."

The Kinderton has four private VIP booths, enclosed with walls.

"The majority of our booths now have infra red or patio heaters,’ said Shaun. "We had a great turn out for our quiz night on Thursday as lots of teams played outside. Our afternoon teas are also proving popular."

A large TV screen has also been installed outside so customers can watch a match together.

The restaurant launched its autumn menu two weeks ago and it is already a big hit with families.

The Kinderton opens from 5pm on Wednesdays to Sunday at 10pm and offers special discounts on Sunday lunch.

Booking is advised.
