THE police helicopter was called out late last night over reports of a man being armed with a weapon.

Officers were called to Grammar School Road in Latchford shortly after 10.30pm yesterday, Sunday, in connection with the incident.

While the National Police Air Service attended the scene, there was no trace of the man.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At around 10.40pm on Sunday, September 20, officers were called to Grammar School Road following reports of a man armed with a weapon.

“Officers swiftly attended and made a thorough search of the area with the support from National Police Air Service.

“There was no trace of the man and no other reports of a similar nature.”
