SCHOOLCHILDREN in Winsford are enjoying playing a new sport in their playground.
A new basketball court has been installed at Willow Wood Community Primary School.
Pupils are having great fun improving their skills as they strive to get the ball into the net.
The school received the gift from the WPA Benevolent Foundation, which encourages and promotes healthy activity amongst children of all ages to enjoy keeping fit.

Headteacher Martin Bell said: “Our new outdoor basketball court is a fantastic addition to our wonderful school environment. The children really enjoy using them during break and lunch time.

“Thanks to the WPA Benevolent Foundation’s donation, not only will our children get the benefit of the equipment at play time, we’ll also be able to use the new facility when delivering our PE curriculum.”
