THE alarm was raised after liquid leaked from a drum onto a road Winsford.
Three fire engines attended the incident in Wharton Road at 11.15am this morning.
Crews discovered that the 25-litre drum contained a non-toxic substance.
There was a small hole at the top of the container and a small proportion of the substance had gone onto the road.

Firefighters moved the drum to the side of the road and soaked up the spilt substance using specialist absorbent sheets.
They then put the drum and the absorbent sheets into a large plastic bag for Highways England to collect.
Firefighters were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
