MIDDLEWICH Library is set to get a facelift.
Plans to renovate the building in Lewin Street with new windows and doors have been submitted to Cheshire East Council.
A council spokesman said: "The original windows require replacement as they are nearing the end of their lifespan, have a
poor thermal performance and are difficult to access and maintain."
Middlewich Community Library was build around 1960
The proposed work will include the replacement of windows, doors, fascias and boards that cover the ends of roof rafters, including the lobby entrance and canopy.

The community library was built around 1960 and is a single storey building with a flat roof, brickwork cavity walls, timber fascias and single glazed aluminium windows.
Low carbon and modern materials will be used where possible in the renovation.
