POLICE are appealing for information from members of the public after two burglaries on the same street in one night.
Two sheds on Reaper Close in Hood Manor were targeted during break-ins at some point between 7pm on Monday, August 10, and 7am on Tuesday, August 11.
No items were taken from the outbuildings, but a nearby parked car had its window smashed and a dashcam taken from inside during the same time period.
Police constable Curtis Rigby said: “I would like to reassure local residents that we are doing all we can to track down those responsible.
“We believe that the incidents in the Reaper Close area are linked, and are currently following some lines of enquiry.
“As part of our investigation, we are urging anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area overnight on Monday 10 August to the early hours of Tuesday to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone who may have witnessed someone acting suspiciously in the Reaper Close area.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to ask residents to make it as difficult as possible for criminals to enter their sheds, vehicles and homes to steal their possessions and ensure that all property is secured.”
