THE new Big Lock coffee shop is proving a big hit.
The Middlewich canalside venue only opened on Friday and is already attracting a lot of families and passers by.
The Big Lock pub was launched three days later on Monday following a £480,000 makeover.
Feedback from customers at the new look Big Look has been good
Licensee Neil Sparkes, who employs 23 staff, said: "The coffee shop is proving very popular. We are getting a lot of dog walkers. We have free treats and water for dogs. There is a grab and go fridge with sandwiches, paninis, salads and soft drinks and a full range of coffees.
"We serve four different ice creams."

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme offers 50 per cent discount on all food and soft drinks at the coffee shop and pub on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until August 31.

"The pub restaurant has been fully booked on all three days," said Neil. "The scheme has really helped, it has been good. We've had great feedback from customers about the pub."
