A COMMERCIAL building in Winsford was evacuated after a fire broke out.
Firefighters were called to Road One at 9.30am this morning and discovered a fire involving a light fitting on the ground floor.
The electricity supply was isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire.
Crews then used a hose reel jet to cool down the surrounding area.
Temperatures were monitored with thermal imaging cameras.

The light fitting was taken out of the building and two large fans were used to clear the premises of smoke.
Firefighters also checked that there were no faults in other light fittings in the building.
Crews left the building once they were satisfied that it was safe.
Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour.
