A COMMERCIAL building in Winsford was evacuated after a fire broke out.

Firefighters were called to Road One at 9.30am this morning and discovered a fire involving a light fitting on the ground floor.

The electricity supply was isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire.

Crews then used a hose reel jet to cool down the surrounding area.

Temperatures were monitored with thermal imaging cameras.
