The picture of the fire was posted by Steve Anthony, who wrote: "1961, Turning up for my first day at work at the British Moulded Hose factory and seeing this..."

John Elsen posted this picture and wrote: "I went to Watford Field school. I can remember walking along a footpath that went through Benskins Brewery. There was always a strong smell of hops and malt. The school always made a big point of Terry Scott having been a former pupil."

Steve Anthony, who submitted the 1961 fire picture, also recalled: "In the early 1960's I worked as barman at the One Crown on the lower High Street, Watford, just a short walk from the house I bought on Neal Street."
