CAPTAIN Sir Tom Moore has expressed his love for a Bradford district museum.

The 100-year-old fundraiser returned to his hometown of Keighley last week and during his trip he described his love of Cliffe Castle.

In a video during an interview for Welcome to Yorkshire, he said: “It’s a delightful building.

“Wherever I go, I tell people I’m from Keighley. I’m bore and bred in Keighley. I am a true, dye in the wool Yorkshireman.”

Bradford Museums and Galleries responded on Twitter today, saying it has ‘made their day’ to have a ringing endorsement from the national treasure.

Cliffe Castle Museum, in Spring Gardens Lane, opened in the castle grounds in 1959.

It features a series of galleries dedicated to various aspects of local heritage.
