SAFETY Central will be opening its doors to families again on Monday.

The state-of-the-art safety and lifeskills education centre in Lymm will be welcoming residents for two-hour tours, showcasing special effects and theme park-standard scenery to simulate everyday risks and hazards.

Centre manager Mark Shone said: "We have made Safety Central Covid-19 secure so that you and your family, or household, can enjoy a special two-hour visit during the school summer holidays.

"Based on our popular primary schools programmes, the tours focus on preventing fires and accidents at home and how to stay safe online, on the roads, near railway lines and while enjoying the great outdoors.

"Our Summer SafetyQuest session is suitable for children aged eight and over and SafetyStars is for younger children aged five to seven.

"Tours will run from 9.15am to 1.45pm on selected days throughout August and early September, and at the end of your visit you will receive a special family safety pack to take home."

A range of Covid-19 precautionary measures will be in place at the centre to keep visitors safe.

Mark added: "The family visits is the first phase of our gradual reopening to visitors.

"As things stand, we plan to be welcoming primary school groups of up to 30 children from Monday, September 7 and we hope to be able to offer our full programme to members of the public again from January."
