AFTER months in lockdown, shoppers are enjoying exploring an Aladdin's cave of quirky items in a giant Middlewich warehouse.

Family run AVM Furniture has been inundated with visitors as it celebrates its fourth birthday at Hopley House in Wilmboldsley on Saturday.

A giant stock of furniture and accessories for the home and garden has attracted people from miles around.

Owner Richard Huntington said:"We were quite unsure how it was going to go when we reopened but we have been slightly busier than normal.

"A lot of people have said it is the first time they have ventured out of the house."

Richard runs the 6,000 square foot emporium with partner Isobel and son David.

"We took it on four years ago when Dave opened the farm shop and cafe," said Richard. "We had been in Sandbach for six years before that. We moved our business and took on a couple of buildings. It's the best thing we've ever done.

"It's a day out for people. What we find is that people have a look around the furniture, go to the cafe and make their mind up about what they want to buy.
