BRADFORD is the 29th fittest city in the UK, according to a study.

New research by Future Fit Training reveals the UK’s Most Active Cities.

Future Fit Training has ranked each UK city on the number of gyms, tennis courts, swimming pools, fitness-related Google searches and per centage of the population who are physically active.

They also looked at their internal data to see which areas have seen the most people training to become personal trainers with Future Fit Training.

Bradford finished with an overall fitness score of 24.87 per cent, only beating Luton in the top 30 list.

The research on Bradford also found it has 89 gyms, has 12 swimming pools and 10 public tennis courts. It also has 2,160 annual fitness searches and four personal training courses booked. All of these activities are for per 100,000 people.

The research also reveals only 62.40 per cent of Bradford residents are physically active.

Leeds was 10th with an overall score of 58.26 per cent.

Brighton & Hove finished first with an overall score of 74.05 per cent, Bournemouth was second with 70.86 and Nottingham third with 68.95.
