TRAIN passengers can park for free outside a nearby Winsford pub.

The Brighton Belle says it is happy for commuters to use their car park in Middlewich Road.

Manager Will Goodwin posted on social media: "We don't mind you using our car park. However we do ask you to park as far away from the pub as possible.

"Also we do ask that if you are using our car park you pop in for a drink or make a donation to our charity Macmillan Cancer Support."

The gesture has been welcomed by passengers.

One woman said: "I have to get a train to Liverpool to work so this is a great help and I always worry about trying to get a space in the car park as it is always very busy."
