AN INVESTIGATION has been launched by police after the sudden death of a person at a Boscombe address on Saturday morning.
Officers are continuing their inquiries to work out the circumstances, with the death currently being treated as unexplained.
Police were called to the property in Grosvenor Gardens by the ambulance service at 11.42am.
Residents in the area reported seeing forensics teams and uniformed officers at the scene throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police was called at 11.42am on Saturday, July 25, by the ambulance service to a report of the sudden death of a person at an address on Grosvenor Gardens in Bournemouth.
"An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
"Their next of kin is yet to be informed. The coroner has been notified.
"A cordon is in place at the address while officers carry out their enquiries."
