A MAN has been arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered in Westhoughton.
Police officers from Bolton West Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant on Friday morning at a property on Chorley Road.
Officers found 300 plants at various stages of growth.
They also discovered an electricity meter had been bypassed.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a male was arrested in the address and is currently in custody.
Last month officers made a similar discovery after they executed a warrant at a five-bedroom detached house in Junction Road, in Deane.
Inside, they found 356 plants at various stages of growth, along with lighting, ventilation and irrigation equipment.
Police Forces across across the UK have been reporting an increase in raids on cannabis farms apparently due to people spending more time at home during lockdown giving police tip-offs.
