PIZZA Express manager David Hartley has thanked customers for their ‘brilliant’ support as the Knutsford branch reopened yesterday (Thursday).

The Knutsford branch was among the first phase of Pizza Express restaurants to reopen after being closed for three months because of the coronavirus lockdown.

“I was really pleased to get back – three months is a long time,” said David.

“It was really busy, and we were fully booked for the evening. The locals were brilliant and very welcoming, and we had really good feedback.

“Everyone was really happy with the whole, contact-free service journey.”

The restaurant is open every day from 11.30am to 11pm for the time being, and customers will notice a number of changes.

The restaurant’s capacity has been halved and social distancing measures are in place.

There are no physical menus, people can order by scanning a QR code to view the menu, and payment is contactless, with no payment by cash.
