AN abnormal load will be travelling through Winsford and Middlewich town centres today.

Drivers are warned to expect delays and disruption as the convoy will be led slowly through country roads across Cheshire.

Motorists are asked to be patient and allow extra time for their journeys or avoid the route if possible.

Police motorcyclists will be escorting the colossal tanker as it makes its way along the A54 through Winsford town centre and onto the A530 towards the twisting roads in Middlewich and on through Church Minshull.

The abnormal load set off from Ellesmere Port Docks yesterday, Saturday, and is scheduled to leave Kelsall this morning at 8am.
