CHILDREN have been having lots of fun since returning to Cledford Primary School in Middlewich after lockdown.

The reception class has enjoyed painting and various other activities in the classroom and and pupils are also exploring outdoors.

Federation headteacher Jane Booth said: "The reception children returned with great excitement.Their teachers were very pleased to see them and had organised their classrooms so that government guidelines could be followed whilst allowing the children to socialise and have some fun.

"The children are spending at least 25 per cent of their time outdoors so wasted no time in getting back in to the Forest Schools area, which they were delighted to find was quite wild.

"Teachers at Cledford have planned a curriculum for the children which will enable them to regain the momentum of learning. The school has a similar recovery plan for September to help children catch up and is looking forward to welcoming all pupils back."
