THE number of coronavirus-related deaths in each area of Winsford and Middlewich has been revealed.
The Office of National Statistics has updated the figures today, Friday, showing how many deaths relating to Covid-19 have been registered for residents living in each area.
In Winsford and Middlewich, the figures show that 56 people have died with coronavirus mentioned as a cause on their death certificate over the past three months across the two towns. Both towns have seen the majority of those deaths occuring in April.
Thirty deaths were registered in Winsford with four in March, 14 in April and 12 in May. While in Middlewich, 26 people died of coronavirus-related causes, with one death in March, 19 in April and six in May.
The figures are also split up by each 'Middle Layer Super Output Area', showing that Middlewich West is the area across the two towns with the most coronavirus-related deaths with 16 overall - 12 recorded in April and four in May.
Glebe Green in Winsford has recorded the least number of Covid-19 deaths with two overall, both recorded in May.
The overall number of deaths for the other areas in Winsford and Middlewich are:
Wharton:10; Middlewich East: 10; Winsford Central: nine; Winsford North: five; and Winsford Over: four.
