POLICE have executed a drugs warrant at a property in Middlewich.

Officers searched an address in Croxton Lane on Saturday morning.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At around 9am on Saturday 6 June officers executed a warrant at an address in Croxton Lane, Middlewich.

"No arrests were made and enquiries are ongoing."

Middlewich police are appealing for help from the public to tackle drug dealing in the town.

A spokesman for the Middlewich police team posted on social media: "A local resident got an unexpected surprise when officers from the Middlewich Team executed a drugs warrant at his premises.

"It is your information that made this possible and will continue to support our work to tackle drug dealing across the town.

"I know it can be frustrating when you pass information and we seemingly don't act straightaway. For us to get a warrant we need intelligence.

"Do not assume we know what you know, we do not monitor social media 24/7 and we can not be on duty all the time So please report things to us via 101, Crimestoppers or to your local PCSOs Tom and Lauren."
