NURSES at St Luke's Hospice are benefitting from a donation of face masks, hand sanitiser and water bottles.
The Winsford hospice received the generous gift from Heatons office supplies.
A spokesman for St Luke's said: "Our nurses are so grateful for the donations which will help to keep them and our patients safe in the weeks ahead."
St Luke's received another generous donation of personal protective equipment last month from Winsford professional footballer Danny Fox, who plays for Wigan Athletic.
He told the Guardian: βThe real heroes are the doctors, nurses and the people working on the frontline, every single one of them β in care homes, hospices. They are the true heroes.β
The hospice recently confirmed it would not be reopening charity shops this month, as it needs more time to prepare social distancing measures and ensure the safety of staff and customers.
