THE annual mayor making ceremony in Winsford has been postponed until public meetings can be resumed at Wyvern House.
Mayor Cllr Ailsa Gaskill-Jones told members at a remote meeting last Monday: "This would have been the annual meeting when I should have been handing over the baton. But because of Covid we have to postpone this until we can do it in person.
"I'm more than happy to carry on but look forward to handing over to somebody new."

The mayor said many fundraising events for her three charities had been cancelled due to the pandemic.
"I'm conscious that raising money for charities has been very challenging," said the mayor. "We will try and do some virtual fundraising in the next month."
