A TEAM providing care to older people in Northwich have been praised by inspectors as 'outstanding'.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) gave the rating to Home Instead Senior Care following a recent inspection.

Inspectors praised staff who 'genuinely cared about people, were exceptionally compassionate and put themselves out to ensure people received the care and support they needed'.

They interviewed clients, their families and staff before making their assessment.

One client told the inspectors: "Our caregiver helps us feel comfortable. He always comes in with a smile, he’s a breath of fresh air."

Another client, who struggles with anxiety in the morning, said: "It reassures me to know I can call somebody, and they are always so nice."

Michelle Lawson, registered care manager, said: “We are delighted with the latest inspection results from the CQC.

"Reading all the amazing comments from clients, their family members, and staff have been so humbling.

"I am proud of the whole team for their dedication, passion and commitment to our most wonderful clients."

Home Instead provides companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, personal care, medication reminders, shopping and errands for older people.
