TWO companies got together to spread a little kindness for staff at Wirral Hospice St John's by donating more than £2,000 worth of gifts.

Wirral-based Levara Properties teamed teamed up with local fragrance brand Owen Drew to give the team of 50 hardworking doctors and nurses the gifts of luxurious Argan Gold Handwash and Body Lotion from Owen Drew's bath and body collection.

Levara properties is owned by husband and wife duo Claire and Benn Carson. Their daughters Eva, six, and Lara aged four (pictured in their Greenleas school uniform) were even recruited to help with the operation of packing up the parcels before they were given to staff at the hospice.

Benn told the Globe: "We wanted to show our appreciation and support to frontline staff during the COVID 19 outbreak.

"May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the theme this year is kindness, so we thought the timing was perfect".

Drew Cockton at Owen Drew told the Globe that this was part of a wider gifting operation his firm was undertaking to support frontline NHS staff.

He added: "Thanks to sponsorship from local companies like Levara, we have been able to give thousands of pounds worth of products at cost price in addition to donations we are already making.

"We have received amazing support from the local community so it's just our way of giving back".
