WE all know the ways in which coronavirus has impacted our communities.

From everyday pleasures such as visiting loved ones or going out for a meal or drink in one of the area's many fantastic pubs and restaurants, communities have had to adopt a new normal.

However, it is in these circumstances that we have seen the best of people, with residents coming together to help family, friends and the most vulnerable amongst us.

Our weekly clap for our carers has developed a deep admiration for NHS staff and the key workers who are putting themselves at risk to keep communities going.

And many people have been going above and beyond to help keep spirits high while confined to the safe haven of our own homes.
