A SUPERMARKET is supporting children during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jack's in Middlewich has donated food and Easter eggs to pupils at Middlewich High School.

The school wants to say a huge thank you to the discount store on Wheelock Street for supporting their breakfast club for key worker's children and vulnerable students over the Easter holidays.

The supermarket is also treating them all to an Easter egg.

Darren Preston, manager of Jack's Middlewich, said: "A lot of the teachers from the school come in regularly before work - one day they asked if we were able to help them in any way and of course we wanted to.

"We donated some food for their breakfast club and gave the kids some Easter Eggs too, hopefully it will help to cheer the kids up who are still attending school and practising social distancing.

"I used to go to Middlewich High School myself so it was nice to be able to give back.

"We're also doing what we can for local foodbanks, people have been so generous with donations,.I've seen people leave full trolleys to be donated.

"There's a great community spirit going on here in Middlewich and Jack's is proud to be a part of that."
