A SECOND man has died in Warrington Hospital after testing positive for covid-19.
The 71-year-old patient passed away on Friday and had an underlying health condition.
A spokesperson for the Trust said: "We can confirm that sadly, a 71-year old male patient has passed away at Warrington Hospital on March 27.
"The patient had tested positive for covid-19 and had an underlying health condition.
"Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time."
A 59-year-old man who had tested positive for covid-19 died in Warrington Hospital on Thursday, March 19.

It is understood that he also had an underlying health condition.
There are now 21 people confirmed to have coronavirus in Warrington.
It remains one of the lowest affected areas in the country.
