FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Castle to put out a large bonfire yesterday evening, Thursday.
One fire engine from Northwich Fire Station was dispatched to Queensgate shortly before 7.10pm after receiving reports of the blaze.
On arrival, the crew discovered the bonfire, which had been left unattended, on a patch of wasteland.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in the open and were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
