RESTRICTIONS on the number of people allowed to attend funeral services will take effect from tomorrow, following Government guidelines on social distancing.
A council spokesperson said: "From Friday (March 27), the number of mourners that are permitted to attend a funeral, both burials at graveside and cremations / burials within our chapels (Landican and Frankby) will be reduced to a maximum of 15 people.
"This is an unfortunate but necessary update to allow for national social distancing guidelines.
"Non-essential services in this area will be suspended with further changes being made in order to protect the safety of residents and staff during this time."
