LEISURE centres at Knutsford, Wilmslow, Holmes Chapel and Middlewich and Holmes Chapel Community Centre are to shut this evening (Friday) because of the coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesman for Everybody Sport and Recreation said: “Following recent guidance from central government and Public Health England we have together with Cheshire East Council, made the decision to close all of our leisure facilities as of close of business on the evening of Friday, March 20.
“It is our priority to put the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff first above anything else. These have been very uncertain and unpredictable times, we look to close until the end of April but we will continue to review the situation.
“As your local health and wellbeing Charity we have joined together with a number of our health and fitness partners to be able to help you to stay active and lead a healthy lifestyle from home. You can find out more information by visiting everybody.org.uk
The local facilities affected are, Alderley Park, Holmes Chapel Community Centre, Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre, Knutsford Leisure Centre, Middlewich Leisure Centre, Wilmslow Leisure Centre.
