CHILDREN at Darnhall Primary are so sad that their school is closing they have written heart-rending messages to their teachers.
Pupils thank teachers for all their work
Pupils said they were sad to leave and wanted to say thank you to all the staff for teaching them.
One pupil wrote: 'I'm very sad that we have to leave but it's for our safety with the virus so I wanted to say thank you for teaching us.'

Another pupil praised headteacher Sarah Tomlinson, saying: 'To Mrs Tomlinson, thank you for being the best headteacher and planning everything nice and looking beautiful.'

Another little one said: "Thank you for teaching us lots of things. I hope you can teach us if we come back."

The school isn't fully closed on Monday. It will be open to children of key workers as defined by the Government and children considered most vulnerable.
