WHEN it comes to hairdressing a Northwich salon has proved yet again that it’s a cut above.

For the third time Fox Hairdressing, in Castle, has scooped the Regional Hair Salon of The Year title at the English Hair and Beauty Awards, to the delight of owners Adam Fox and Matthew Thomas.

Their creative staff were also highly commended in the Salon Team of the Year category at the annual event, which celebrates the best in the beauty business.

“We are really thankful to all of our clients who support ‘Team Fox’ and to everyone who voted. We are very grateful to our lovely team for all of their hard work, passion and dedication,” said Matthew.

“We had so much fun on the night and to win in the category that we did just made the night extra special and very memorable.

“The salon has evolved so much over the years which we are really proud of. It's just such a happy place to be and a pleasure to work in and be part of.”

While Fox Hairdressing scooped the crowning glory, they weren’t the only Northwich talents to have made the finals of the awards.

The Beauty Spot, on Queen Street, was shortlisted for three awards including Beauty Salon of the Year, Nail Salon of the Year, and Beautician of the Year courtesy of Rebecca Jane Collins.

Also nominated was Professional Eyes Studio, on Witton Street, and make-up artist Sophie King, plus Francesco Group, on Regency Way, and Whimsy Style on Manchester Road.

Matthew added: “It was such a great night and brilliant that so many local salons from around Cheshire were all there together, supporting and celebrating each other’s achievements.”

Irfan Younis, of award organisers Creative Oceanic, said: “The awards showcased those who promote excellence, set the trends and turn any dream look into reality. These specialists inspire others when it comes to the big and competitive world of beauty. The champions are tried and tested specialists and salons that offer impeccable services and treatments.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements, and we hope that they will keep up their amazing work.”
