IAN McGrath, from Sandy Lane, Cranage, has been given a suspended prison sentence for causing unnecessary suffering to animals.
McGrath, 45, was also banned from owning or keeping livestock for life, by Crewe Magistrates Court on February 20.
McGrath admitted six charges of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
He also admitted 18 charges of failing to identify, collect and transport carcasses without undue delay.
The charges related to Grange Farm at Peover on or about February 21, 2018.
McGrath was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, which was suspended for 18 months.
He was ordered to pay £18,420 in fines and costs, and to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
