YOUNG musicians from the Junior Royal Northern College of Music are set to entertain in a show for the Middlewich and District Concerts Society.

The event on Saturday, March 7, will mark the 13th consecutive season in which the society has welcomed a group of up-and-coming talents.

On each of their previous visits, the students have enthralled with their verve and quality.

The show in March is branded 'Before They Become Famous XIII'.

As students at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music, they show tremendous commitment with the tuition in addition to their normal school activities.

This year there will be four students, presenting a wide variety of styles and sounds. The line-up is Tom Amigoni (double bass), Alexandra Clarke (flute), Matthew Still-Blundell (guitar) and Saffron Doherty (voice), with piano accompaniment by David Jones where appropriate.

What they will all play and sing will be revealed on the night, but previous experiences suggest the audience should expect a fascinating evening of music, with the distinct possibility of the surprise performance of the season.

The concert will be held in the Drama Studio of Middlewich High School on Saturday, March 7 from 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 (concessions) and will be available at the door.
