A POPULAR Ellesmere Port pub is undergoing an extensive refurbishment which will create four new jobs.
The Woodlands, which is part of the Sizzling Pub & Grill chain, closed its doors on Sunday (February 23) and will reopen to the public on Friday, March 6.
The Chester Road pub has invited NHS North West Ambulance Service fundraiser Julie Bardell to officially open the new-look premises as the guest of honour at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Sizzling Pub & Grill said they have made 'significant investment' in the Whitby-based establishment which has created four new jobs.
David Agrellis, the general manager of The Woodlands, said: “The pub will look fantastic following its refurbishment and we can’t wait to welcome back our regulars and the people of Whitby next week to see what the new look Woodlands is all about.
"We're also thrilled to have Julie cut the ceremonial ribbon for us. Bringing the new look Sizzling Pub & Grill to Whitby is really exciting for the whole team. At Sizzling Pub & Grill, we want to offer good food and good value for all our guests, and we’re thrilled to be providing the area with a new dining destination that does that in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere."
